TJ The Frenchie x The Lodge Duxford – UK Dog Friendly Stays

We were lucky enough to be invited to spend a night at the glorious Lodge in Duxford – just outside of Cambridge, to attend their annual summer party, test out their doggy facilities and make the most of their new ‘dogs stay free’ promotion!

We were staying in Stable 3 which was a beautifully decorated, cosy room situated off of the main lodge house, with easy access to outside space which was useful for TJ. We were welcomed into our accommodation by super friendly staff, TJ had a water bowl and treat waiting for him in the kitchen area – and mum and dad had a lovely bottle of sloe gin too!

Stable 3 was modern, airy and functional – with a full kitchen, queen-sized bed and uber bathtub in the bathroom! We loved the industrial décor and finishes in the bathroom especially – perhaps we will be stealing some ideas for our own home!

We were able to sample some delicious food and drinks throughout the day and evening – a sample of the food choices photographed below. Special shout out to the chef / team who provide a plethora of gluten-free options as well – especially the delicious calamari.

Any dog here should expect to be given lots of attention from staff and customers – TJ was in his element, and when bedtime came around, he was more than ready to settle into his very own beanbag bed.

We were also incredibly impressed with the innovative nature of the team at The Lodge – both providing guest rooms, with amazing food and beverage offerings, also providing co-working spaces and even acting as a wedding venue (oh – and be sure to check out the new onsite barbers!) The outdoor space has been meticulously curated to provide a variety of all-weather settings – so it’s the perfect year-round spot!

If you’re visiting the UK, Cambridge or just the area – make sure that The Lodge is firmly on your list! For more details check out their website or instagram!
